YSAS can be found in the centre of Frankston, close to public transport and next door to the library. There are a number of other services and agencies sharing the location.
This means that young people can get different kinds of support such as general health, mental health, school, employment and drug and alcohol in one place.
Dandenong YSAS is just around the corner from the train station, across the road from the park (and courts) and a short walk to the plaza and the market.
This is a bigger site so it can get pretty busy, especially if there is food cooking at REVAL.
YSAS Inner Gippsland can be found in the centre of Morwell, close to many shops, support services and even the art gallery. It is also only a few minutes’ walk away from the train station, which makes it very easy to get to.
The office is small, friendly and bright, and as you come in the door you will be welcomed by staff who are here to help.
Ringwood YSAS is a fresh office just near MacDonalds. It is an easy walk from Eastland, and the train station.
When you get inside the building you can wait for staff in the cosy foyer. Feel free to relax on the couches or even play an arcade game.
North WEST
Located on Johnston Street in Abbotsford, this drop-in program is easily accessible by tram or foot. As you enter the building you will notice how light and open it feels. When you wander down the hallway you will be greeted by staff as you enter the open lounge area.
Wherever you are from, whatever is going on, you are welcome – grab something to eat, have a shower, hang out and meet some people in a safe and respectful place.
YSAS Collingwood can be found right across the road from Victoria Park oval and train station. In fact you might get a chance to check out the oval by going for a walk with your worker or as part of a group program!
There are a number of other agencies that share this space with YSAS and headspace
This means that you can get support and guidance for a range of different needs including; drug and alcohol, mental health, general health, education, and employment.
You will find Sunshine YSAS is on a busy street, surrounded by an abundance of food choices, and right near public transport. While this is the primary location for the West team, another base can be found at Hoppers Crossing Youth Resource Centre.
There are many programs that run from this small and dynamic office, including many involving partnerships with other organisations which respond to the diverse needs of the region.
Situated on busy Bell Street, Preston YSAS is a small, light-filled, accessible space close to buses and trams as well as many other services.
The team is often on the move, with outreach being the primary support offered. But if you do drop by the office - just remember to ring the buzzer so we know you are here.
Bendigo YSAS is based in a red-brick building, with roses at the front gate. It is situated just around the corner from the Marketplace and is close to the train station too.
A range of programs are available from this office so you will be able to find a good match for what you need whether you are looking for drug and alcohol, family and/or health support.
RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS
Located in leafy Eltham, Birribi is surrounded by nature – you might even spot a kangaroo!
This peaceful space gives you a chance to reflect on yourself and focus on what you want to get out of your time here.
Staff and other residents will support you to settle into the environment, teach you what is expected of you and encourage your progress through the stages of the program.
You will enjoy being part of a community that helps each other, and guides you to move forward in a way that is right for you.
When you arrive at Glen Iris withdrawal you will notice lots of trees, a park up the road, and possibly even a resident cat!
Inside the house is cosy, but there is plenty of room for you to relax, whether you want to sit out the back in the courtyard or hang out in the lounge and watch a movie.
The staff will help you take care of yourself while you are staying here. That means that along with working on your drug use goals you will get the opportunity to; practice having a routine, get a good nights’ sleep, learn how to cook some simple and tasty food, go to the gym or the pool, try some different hobbies or even creatively express yourself while in a safe and supportive environment.
Geelong Residential Withdrawal program is based in a bright and friendly house. There is plenty of space to settle into and the staff will encourage you to feel comfortable and secure.
This is the perfect place to come to clear your head – you will have access to an in-house gym, fresh and healthy food, great people to talk to and your own room.
Family and friends, positive drug-free experiences and future planning are all part of the program. What this means is that you will get to enjoy yourself while you are staying here and when it is time to leave you can take with you options for ongoing support, helpful connections, and a lot of good memories.
Based in the centre of Fitzroy, the YSAS Withdrawal unit is an inviting and inclusive place. When you get there you will be welcomed by staff who will show you around the spacious, two-storey building.
You will feel at home in the light-filled living area, the open courtyard playing basketball, or in the kitchen that encourages you to make a healthy snack. You will have your own bedroom, a private space for you to have time out when you need it.
Creativity, respect and fun are all encouraged here and you will have many opportunities to express yourself through music, art, and other enjoyable activities. Staff will help you to participate in the program and challenge yourself during your stay in a non-judgemental, safe environment.
Situated on a 1.7 hectare site, one of the first things you will notice as you enter onto Bunjilwarra is the peace and openness that exists in the space.
Staff and residents will help you to adapt to your new surroundings and routine, while also ensuring that you feel safe and supported.
You will be welcomed into the program and guided to work on yourself in a way that encourages connection with culture, family, community and country.
